Service, Shopping, Security
Tucson Airport was under constructions when I last visited but the service rendered was superb. Employees are willing to go the extra step to accomodate your needs. The variety of stores for last minute shopping was well thought out and considered the average person’s budget so there was something that one could afford without feeling that you were paying extraordinary high prices. Security is complete – nothing is left to chance. My girlfriend attempted to bring home an antique bullet from WWII but it was in her carry-on. She had to leave it behind or pay $28.00 for shipping and handling for the $6.00 item. She chose to leave it behind but I felt that security performed professionally in making sure that nothing which could be mistaken for a weapon or an object that could be used in a weapon did not go through security. I was truly impressed.
I fly out of TUS once a month and it’s incredibly easy and fast. The airport was recently renovated so it has many options for shopping and eating. The gate area is expansive and easy to find. Security is always simple and fast as there almost never is a line or very short lines. Overall TUS is one of my favorite airports to fly into/out of and I highly recommend it.
