Nice
Drop Off Charges
I used to use Aldergrove a lot, but fail to see why I should be charged £1 to drop a passenger off. In fact there is a small free facility in the long term car park, but it is hardly advertised. It encourages haphazard and dangerous stopping on the airport approaches. OK if I’m meeting someone, I usually use the short term park, but to charge for dropping off is outrageous. Pity really, as it’s not at all a bad airport otherwise.
Belfast International
12.7.2010…Just an update. Belfast Int Airport have sunk to a new LOW. There is now a charge of £1, simply to drive past this aboration of an airport. For your £1 you will be permitted to stop and drop a passenger off (so long as you do it quickly) You are NOT ALLOWED TO PICK ANYONE UP. For that privilege you will need to go into the car park and pay through the nose for the pleasure. No other airport I have ever been to makes a charge like this. This airport tries very very hard to give you experience of being RIPPED OFF at every turn. A task at which it succeeds brilliantly. Do not worry, the airport authority are working very very hard to think of new and ever more ludicrous ways of ripping off its customers…Watch this space.
Good
A good little airport but has a few noteworthy faults. 1) The airport authorities have gone to enormous trouble to make sure that parking is difficult and ludicrously expensive, even for a few minutes. 2) The taxis are operated by the Mafia, steer well clear of them, THEY WILL ROB YOU. 3) Inside, the authorities have again gone to a lot of trouble, this time to remove a large number of seats and replace them with games machines. Thanks. The seats that remain are the ubiquitous steel "ski jump" type and are dreadfully uncomfortable. Other than that it’s just the usual airport, nothing really bad or good, just functional.
Belfast International Airport
This airport is one of the best in the UK and I’ve travelled to quite a few UK airports over the past year. The systems are efficient, the staff are helpful and friendly and ,by the way, the Guinness in the bars is splendid.
Belfast
Belfast International Airport is a lovely airport to go to. I have been there twice and from the moment you arrive to the moment you depart it is a very homely airport. All around there are quite a lot of planes going there. I flew on EasyJet and both the landings and take offs were brilliant. The departures lounge is ok but there is more not airside. All in all, it’s a brilliant airport to go to.
I love it, it looks nice
