GRJ is in the process of being upgraded, and the new facilities that is already in place is much better than what it was before. Especially now that this airport is one of the fastest growing airports in South Africa, it has to provide much more space for passengers about 2 or 3 flights at a time, from where 10 years ago it would have been 1 flight in two hours. It’s also still very much a community airport where lots of friends and family would be hanging around to pick up or see off passengers. Hopefully when it’s finished it’ll reflect the true warmth and beauty of the Garden Route.
