I have been to this airport a few different times. It’s small and not fancy. BUT…. they have a couple of nice places to eat there with very good food and some cute shops. It’s enjoyable to sit and watch and listen. You get a feel of the area simply by the people that come and go. The airport is clean and the people are very courteous and helpful. I actually enjoy waiting for my flights. One caution-(not the airports fault but important to know)—–only a few airlines fly out of the airport – if your flight gets cancelled due to weather (which mine did – if your connecting flight is NOT with one of those airlines, you may be left to purchase a new ticket once arriving in Lima because the connecting airline doesn’t care why you missed your flight). Try to fly all legs on the same carrier to avoid this issue.
