I lived at Port Harcout for a few years. Pros: The airport is small and it takes 10-15min to check in and board a flight. The system is pretty much like buying a bus ticket and boarding. Virgin atlantic, Lufthansa and Air france fly in and out of here. Cons: Very expensive to take an international flight from here. Save money by flying to Lagos and then take an international flightNot much to do at the airport. I heard a year back, a cow was on the runway. A jet airliner hit it and there was meat all over the runway. Then in August 2006, a fire broke out. They finally closed the whole airport for renovation.
Port Harcourt International Airport is definitely the worst airport in the world. Lack of seats,broken air conditioners,unfriendly staff and lack of cleanliness and comfort.
