Tepic Aiport Is Very Convenient
Glad To Have This Airport
So the Airport is way out of town, and the Taxi fare was a little high. Never the less I’m glad that Tepic has finally made their own airport a priority. With as many people who fly from that area, to other cities, and some even make this connection through international flights, it’s just nice to be a few minutes from town, instead of having to fly into Puerto Vallarta, which takes another 6 hrs travel by bus; or from Guadalajara which is now a 4 hr drive by bus as well. OK, so it’s not as grand as the other two airports mentioned, Yes ! It is a very basic airport with little comforts and perks, but just enjoy the ease of travel, and the less hassle of large airports.
I agree that it is a very import connecting airport. I feel that they need to expand the airport and make it international. If the State of Nayarit invested in expanding they would get a lot more tourism. The 4hrs bus ride to Guadalajara is long, but not as long as 6hr to Puerto Vallarta. Here is a shot of modest but nice airport.
