Air Bridge
Great little airport, such a pity about the airbridges, it seems to be only charter flights that use them. Aer Lingus have stopped using them but still use them at the destinations, bit of a contradiction if you ask me.
Cork Airport
A good airport. There’s only one duty free shop which is more than enough. The only problem with the airport is that if it is raining you will get wet going to the aircraft as the air bridges are never used.
Best In Ireland
An excellent airport. Easy to get to. The facilities there are great. The best airport in Ireland today. Only issue is you may need to walk across the tarmac to the plane, depending on which airline you are using. If it’s raining (as happens from time to time in Ireland) that could be uncomfortable.
Covered Walkway To Short Term Carpark
Lovely airport spoilt by useless protection from weather on the (uphill) *covered walkway* to the short term carpark. Unless rain is coming down vertically with no wind, you will get drenched.
Good Airport
Good Airport
Fantastic terminal, looks brilliant from the outside. Very friendly staff. Good selection of duty-free shops and restaurants at international standard. One of the best airport I have ever been in. Trust me, I have been in loads of airports…
Cork Airport
Fantastic Airport, with a capacity of 6.1 Million passengers including the two terminals. Very spacious airport inside and check-in seems a lot faster in terminal 2 than terminal 1. Never had a problem with baggage there.
The last time I flew into Cork Airport, it was a few years ago and I had to switch airplanes in Dublin as I was flying in from Kennedy Airport in New York City. The only fault I would find with Cork Airport, is that there are no direct flights coming or going into “The States” or Kennedy Airport in New York City and I would find fault more with Aer Lingus more than Cork Airport for that, as Aer Lingus could set up such new routes in a big hurry if it wanted to.
