PKY Airport
Not much wrong with this airport. This summer I went to visit a friend in Palangkaraya, so I flew with Garuda. If you look out the window at the right moment (I was lucky, so I did) you see the flight PKY – CGK in the opposite direction. Impressive :-) The airport is simple but effective and located close to the town, approx. 10 min by taxi /car.
Cilik Riwut Airport
Small airport, fits for 1 24-passenger plane & 2 Boeing 727-200. Cafe : limited choices of menu, Souvenir : expensive, not many variations, better buy at traditional market. You difinetely don’t want to spend hours waiting (for what?) in the lounge since there’s nothing to entertain you. But the cleanliness & management are improving. You’ll love this airport because the airport tax is the cheapest in whole wide world :-)
The development of this airport is very satisfying, this time my flight was very much proud of my hometown even though I am not a native Dayak tribe but all support for the betterment of the city so I expect this Palangkaraya, Palangkaraya hopefully soon to be a big city such as the Indonesian territory of existing cities on the island of Java and my hopes again this airport could become International Airport in Indonesia
