The Rupsi airport has been operational again from 8th May 2021. Situated in Dhuburi District of Assam After four decades this airport has been operational again under the UDAN scheme .
Rupsi is now fully functional with Flybig airlines running a scheduled figjt in Guwahati Rupsi Calcittaa rout. This aiport is going to serve west Assam , west Meghalaya & a part of North Bengal

Rupsi (RUP) was an old airport mainly used for Jute export cargo. There was limited civilian transportation. The airport is non-operational for decades. It is a ghost airport now. Sometimes it is used by the locals as a spot for learning driving. It’s runaways act as attractive driving courses for learners.

I have visited Rupsi airport few day ago. It had not been used for many decades. The place became deserted.
