International Standard
The new airport terminal is truly international standard and look beautiful. The service at the airport is also good. Hope to see international flights operating soon. Great work done. Congratulations to whoever involved in achieving this.

Major issue with prepaid taxi. Looks very costly.
New Airport Terminal Opening Ceremony
Madurai airport is upgraded to International Airport Status. And its New Terminal Opening Ceremony is due on 12th September 2010.
Great Airport - Soon
I am frequently using Madurai IXM airport. Currently Madurai has only small airport. New terminal building is under construction. Once it is completed Madurai should have international standard airport.

Hi, This is Saran, I had an excellent experience in travelling to Madurai. I was fascinated by the maintenance and infrastructure of the Madurai airport.
Spice Jet is set to operate the first International Flight from Madurai to Colombo on September 20th, 2012. Hope soon many international connections will commence from Madurai. It’s a lovely airport.
