If you plan to take the plane to Ikaria I suggest you book your ticket in advance by 1 month or more especially during the summer since so many people will be going. The ferry is always an option and they have fast ones now to get there in 4 hours.
Tiny But New
Tiny but rather new airport that handles only 4 propeller flights a week. On departure passengers have to carry their check-in luggage through X-ray themselves. Small cafeteria.
Nice airport – small cafe.

Flights to Athens 2-3 times a day with Olympic Air (Aegean Airlines)
Flights to Thessaloniki (via Lemnos) 1-2 times a week with Astra Airlines
Flights to Heraklion, Samos, , Mykonos 1-2 times a week (Depending on what the destination is) with Sky Express
