Hi, Although you can’t land a plane at Wildenrath anymore, you could drive a train around it! Wildenrath is now the main rail test centre for Siemens tranportation. They test all the trains and trams that they build. There is a circular track that they can drive trains at speeds up to 160km/h (100mph) have look at their website:- http://www.transportation.siemens.com/ts/en/pub/products.htm

hello, have you viseted wildenrath recently? well i have today, you will have a bit of troule landing a plain there because it was shut down 4 years ago and now is barron land. it is great to go down there and mess about and there is a little pond there where i think is fish and i, as a doctor in cyprinids are yet to investigate it. if you would like any information on wildenrath air strip contact me. dr jordan hawkins
