St. John's International Airport Reviews (1)
St John’s airport has to be my favourite airport. It’s big but not too big that you need a map, it’s clean and tidy and the staff are warm and friendly and even make eye contact with you when you’re talking to them. The smile and make you feel relaxed when really you’re stressed out from flying. maybe it’s because most of them are locals, Newfies, people well know for being cheerful. Arriving at the airport is a breeze and nice if you fly in at night and have a window seat on your plane, as flying over St John’s at night is well wort you making sure that you have a window seat. When you depart the plane it’s simply a case of walking down one flight of stairs, the turn right and less than five metres away from the stairs is the baggage conveyor. I only waited about twenty minutes for my baggage to come around. There is no need for baggage carts as the car park is right outside the front of the airport, which I think is another great idea and saves you having to walk miles to your car. Departing from here is also easy and the security staff are friendly and chatty. The departure area is clean and has nice views across the runways. This airport gets full marks from me, for its cheerful staff, it’s clean facilities and for being easy to get around. I think a lot of the bigger airports could learn a lot of lessons from St John’s Airport. I would highly recommend this airport to anyone wishing to visit Newfoundland and wanting to be treated like a human being. Well done St John’s, an airport that’s got it right.
