i was a flight engneer on a u.s. air force c-119 flying boxcar that had a engine fire and made a emergency landing on a snow packed strip feb 1960 at beatton river,,,rcaf edmonton flew parts to us,,,we were there about a week,, we flew back to rcaf edmonton and did more work on the engine,,we then continue to ladd afb fairbanks alaska,,,our home base was niagara falls arb new york,,,,smsgt wm mcdougall,,,,,mcd14131@comcast.net

I was a Radio Operator at Beatton River 1966 until it closed in 1967.

My father George was a radio operator at the Beatton River airfield back in the early 1950’s. My mother Joyce wrote a short book on their experiences there.
