Beagle Bay Airport Reviews (1)
I assume that there is only one Beagle Bay in Australia and I have corrected the longitude and latitude accordingly. My wife and I visited the Beagle Bay community where there is a remarkable alter in a beautiful white church. The community is accessible by way of a 150Km unpaved road which is suitable for 4WD vehicles only. At the end of our trip we called to the airstrip which is also unpaved and consists of this wonderful red sand/soil that covers so much of west and north Australia. We didn’t locate the facilities as I suspect they are portable and brought into use as and when necessary. The residents of the mission told us of being roused in the night to drive their cars to the strip to facilitate lighting for an emergency medical landing. I have no information regarding tower frequencies etc and suggest if you land here you bring enough fuel to return as there seem to be no refueling facility.
