Best Airport For Puebla Area
Hermanos Serdan Airport
This is a small regional airport with minimal facilities. But it is super-convenient for visitors to Puebla who don’t want to transfer through Mexico City. Immigration and customs are fast and easy and your baggage is delivered within minutes of your arrival. There is an ATM machine in the terminal for obtaining Mexican currency. There is also a government-sponsored taxi counter with clearly printed rates to your destination in Puebla and environs.
I fly in and out of PBC all the time. QUICK and EASY, simple and fast. no lines, no problems. Local buses and taxis available. For 6 pesos (60 cents) the local bus can take you just about anywhere you want. You need to negotiate price with taxis as they do not use meters. Great lodging/hotel prices. Anywhere from 100 pesos ($10) and up. Possible lower price but you would need to do some shopping to find. Very nice area. Recommend you stay in Cholula. Bring light long sleave wind breaker for Summer and heavy coat for Winter. Drink bottle water or can drinks only. Best to be with a travel partner at all times unless you speak Spanish real good. Food, lodging, services cheap; Products are expensive. People friendly, but as with anywhere in the world there is crime. Have fun!
